Wedding photography at Portchester Castle & Old Thorns Manor Hotel – Kent & Gemma Mansbridge

Awesome day!  Kool couple, great venues, free reign and warm, sunny weather- couldn’t ask for more!  A looong day that started with the usual bridal preps. and champagne, before hitting up bleary-eyed gents slightly hungover from the previous night, and a trashed apartment- very rock’n’roll!!!  Then back to the girls for the finishing bits before heading off to St. Mary’s in the grounds of Portchester Castle for a lovely ceremony.  Kent had proposed to Gemma at Portchester Castle as it had special meaning to them, so it was great to wander around with them catching great shots.  They then jumped in their Splitty bus for the drive to Old Thorns Manor Hotel near Liphook for the remainder of their day.  They even had a space for me to join in the wedding breakfast on a table of friends which was fantastic!!  Afterwards when the air had cooled and the sun was setting, I took them off onto the golf course and captured some stunning images of the pair of them before heading back for the first dance and evening frivolities.  A great day and a wonderful way to round off a weekend 🙂

Wedding photography at Tithe Barn, West Sussex – Nathan & Hollie Gibson

What a fantastic day!  Totally chilled out Hollie & her girls getting ready, a quick visit to the boys saw Nathan equally chilled, and then back to Hollie to catch those emotional final moments.  True to form, Hollie kept Nathan waiting and tears flowed at their lovely ceremony with touching speeches.  The sun was shining so it was fabulous as always shooting at Tithe Barn with it’s versatile grounds, so we made the most of it and went for a stroll together to catch some great moments.  A wonderful relaxing day was finished off with dancing into the night.  Great couple, great guests and family, stunning venue, awesome day…. 🙂

Wedding photography at Old Thorns Manor Hotel, Liphook – David & Katie

Great couple, great venue, great day, lucky with the weather!!!!  David & Katie only needed me for 6 hours so wasn’t planning on shooting any before stuff, but I arrived at Old Thorns a little bit early so sneakily grabbed a couple of bridal shots in her room- bonus!  David & Katie were both super-chilled and just let me get on with whatever I wanted to shoot, always nice to have a free reign.  We did have a couple of ideas to quickly cover the formals and we ended up doing these in the Reception on the stairs and surrounding area after their Wedding Breakfast just before I said my goodbyes.  We managed to get out on the golf course before the thunder storm hit and all was kool, a very happy couple who just giggled and laughed their way around outside- no real staging from me, just a few suggestions and I just let them do their thing.  Brilliant  🙂

Wedding photography at Old Thorns Manor Hotel, Liphook – Matt & Hayleigh

This was another beautifully hot, sunny day up at the awesome Old Thorns Manor Hotel shooting the wedding of Matt & Hayleigh.  A fantastic day starting early with the girls at 8am and it was already rather warm!!  Zipping between shooting the girls and boys was sweaty business!!  Luckily they had their ceremony in the St. Andrew’s Suite so I had an air-con vent to hug.  Hayleigh’s eyes leeked a little bit whilst exchanging their handwritten vows to one another, which is always a really nice emotional moment to catch.  After their drinks reception in The Atrium Champagne Bar, I dragged them around the golf course to catch some awesome natural portraiture before letting them sit down for their Wedding Breakfast in the Grand Ballroom.  Greg the legend was on hand later and escorted us back onto the golf course to catch the beautiful sunset- timed to perfection, it was breathtaking.  I had a blast all day shooting a wonderful couple and family and friends who just let me do my thing- thank you very much guys 🙂

Wedding photography at The Royal Beach Hotel, Portsmouth – Aaron & Ami-Jane Hunt

Fantastic day shooting Aaron & Ami locally in Old Portsmouth & Southsea.  Started off by meeting up with Ami at Hair@ The Hair Sanctuary and then flitting between the girls and the guys catching the getting ready malarkey. Best Man Ryan was hanging…just thought I’d mention that haha!  Lovely ceremony at John Pounds Church, followed by ice cream and formals (group shots) round at The Garrison Church.  I stole the happy couple away for a for a few natural shots before heading to their reception at The Royal Beach Hotel, Southsea.  I took them over to the beach opposite later on when the sun was setting and the air was cooler.  Nice….
